Restroom (Public Toilet) Maintenance: How to Protect Them from Homosexuals

Reports similar to the one below appear every now and then.

Priest charged in rest stop sex sting pleads not guilty

Brian Howard – The Journal News (Nov. 9, 2007)

The Catholic priest charged along with 20 other men in a rest-stop sex sting off Interstate 684 pleaded not guilty yesterday and is due back in Bedford Town Court next month.

The Rev. Gary Meade, wearing a gray suit and accompanied by his attorney, kept his head down and made no comment during the brief court appearance.

Judge Charles Banks had threatened to issue a bench warrant after Mead failed to appear last week. Others charged in the sting entered guilty pleas at that time.

Attorney Andrew Quinn of White Plains last night maintained Mead's innocence. He said he would review the specific allegations filed against Mead, who is due in court Dec. 13.

The Catholic priest from Millwood, who is assigned to St. Gregory Barbarigo parish in Garnerville, was charged with one violation count of loitering and with forcible touching, a misdemeanor.

Police say Mead, 44, tried to touch an undercover officer during the sting operation in the woods behind the rest stop.

Mead has denied being in the woods. He says he stopped at the service area on his way home from visiting friends in the town of Kent.

The sting, which also netted a local Rotary Club president and a 72-year-old man, was prompted by a complaint from a man who had stopped to use the rest area with his 10-year-old son, police said.

Most of the men were charged with loitering or trespass violations. One was charged with forcible touching, a misdemeanor. Four were charged with exposing themselves and two with public lewdness, all violations.

What is the solution to this problem?  Use hidden cameras!

Camera catches men having sex in toilets

Wirral globe (Nov. 21, 2007)

MORE than 120 men have been identified as taking part in sexual activity in a public toilet, after a covert police sting in Wirral.

Hidden cameras were installed in the men's lavatories in Harrison Drive, New Brighton, following complaints that men were meeting for anonymous gay sex.

On Monday, three men appeared before Wirral magistrates after they were caught engaging in public sexual activity.

A police sergeant based in Liverpool was also caught and was fined 13 days' pay.

As part of undercover Operation Winchester, two tiny cameras were installed in the toilets at waist and head height and evidence was recorded on DVD. And after the three-month blitz, 32 people were cautioned and six people were charged under the Sexual Offences Act.

Cases are still being brought through the courts.

On Monday, Patrick Kevin Gallagher, from Meadowcroft Road, Meols, was fined £400 after he was caught on camera on three separate occasions.

Defending the 51-year-old married father-of-two, Chris Murphy said: "Mr Gallagher is a man of good character and he is very ashamed that he is in court.

"This has been very devastating to his life and things are not going to get any easier for him in due course.

"He has a good job and is a family man - he knows that what he did was wrong."

Magistrates ordered Gallagher to pay a fine totalling £400 including costs.

Shaun Murphy, 40 from Brighton Street, Wallasey, was given unconditional bail and will appear again before magistrates on December 17. And James John Clarke, 51 from Bloomfield Green, Liverpool, will return to court on December 10 while "all options open reports" are prepared.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said the operation had been a success despite criticism from the lesbian and gay community that officers used "strong arm tactics."

She said: "The integrity of the operation is not under question but the consultation period with local groups could have been better."

I’m not a lawyer, but I would find it hard to establish a case where EVERYONE using this public facility was being videotaped without their consent.  Of course, that case was not in the United States and I’m sure their laws are slightly different.  Something like this could never occur in the United States.  Lawyers and civil rights advocates woudl have a field day with soemthing like this.  I have never found this type of activity appealing, but I would be appalled(sp?) if I found out I had been videotaped while using the rest room. I own a business where many things happen in the bathroom that I’m unable to catch, but if I videotaped people in the bathroom and later tried to use this as some kind of evidence I would be the one facing prosecution.  People have rights!  I don’t agree with what was going on there, but I also don’t agree with the tactics used.  I would like to see what the outcome would have been if it had been a womens restroom videotaped (no matter what country).

Who are the ones seeking sex in public restrooms?  Are openly-gay men cruising restrooms to satisfy their cravings?

The answer is an emphatic: NO.

The men one finds having sex in public are not open and honest about their sexual orientation and usually lead very sad lives masquerading as heterosexual family men.  Consider the recent spate of Republicans caught soliciting sex in public restrooms.

In a society that is more accepting of homosexuality, in which homosexuals are not persecuted and singled out for discrimination, such behavior would be almost zero.

I agree TIREDOFIDIOTS.  If people were able to freely be themselves, this type of activity would go away.  Society has caused this type of behavior by their own actions in the way they treat homosexuals.  Who could be openly gay when they are afraid of persecution by the people they call family, friends, etc… It’s much better today than it was 20 years ago, but the older generation finds it hard to be open when they have had to hide for so long.  Activities like this is the only outlet they understand.  I agree these people are not open and honest about their homosexuality, but I don’t find it entirely their fault they are not open and honest when the fear of being open and honest comes at such a large risk to them.

Robert. Why are you so sure men having sodomitic sex in public restrooms are not openly gays?

Your point is absurd, because a closeted gay having sex in PUBLIC restrooms has great risk to be catched, not only by police, but by any one who use that PUBLIC restroom. So not logic.

PROUDLY HOMOPHOBIC:  First, check your grammer.  Second, if you read the article and what has already been posted, the catholic priest the article centers on is most likely NOT openly gay.  I’m not saying that all people having sex in restrooms are closet cases.  If you actually read the responses above you will see that I was talking about people in the priests age group.  You really don’t understand the conversation about this topic and your response proves that.  Your name “proudly homophibic” also indicates any discussion with you is moot and doesnt contain any intellectual value.

BTW… I was looking over this article again.  How does the title indicate anything about the articles? “Restroom (Public Toilet) Maintenance: How to Protect Them from Homosexuals” The person that controls this site has expressed on numerous occasions that he has nothing against homosexuals.  He states this is an informational site only. However, considering the title of this article, I think it clearly indicates his true intentions on the “cherry picked” material he has placed here.

ROBERT WILLIAMSON: First, check your spelling. “Grammer”? I think you mean “grammar”, unless you’re talking about Mr. Kelsey Grammer in which case you should have used a “G” instead of a “g”?

Thanks PROUDLY HOMO-FRIENDLY.  I missed that.  I’m sure MR GRAMMER would not enjoy his name being associated with this website.

This website is an example of the extremism and stupidity of the anti-gay crowd. It doesn’t take much to realize the lack of education the founder of this website possesses.

personally I don’t see anything bad in having sex in toilets, except for the fact that it is dirty there. those who provide cameras in public toilets offend human rights( there are many cases of the kinds I read about in the articles. I wish smth was done to cope with the problem.
